An individual block of thermoelectric semiconductor material. Slicing an ingot of TE material into wafers, then dicing these wafers into very tiny, very precise, and accurately sized blocks, which are placed inside a TE Cooler, makes elements. Each TE Cooler has P elements and N elements. Elements are sometimes referred to as columns or TE material. See definition of DIE.
